Goosecraft Female Blogathon #1

 Pictures taken by Cindy Voest

Waky waky sleepy heads!

I know it is Saturday and you are probably really wanting to stay in bed until noon, but guess what? It's not going to happen today! I got some exciting pictures I want to share with you and I am really curious to hear what your opinion is on this subject matter. The thing is, a few weeks ago I received an email from Rianne who takes care of the social media, the website and the webshop of the brand Goosecraft (well-known for their great quality of leather products). She told me about a Female-Blogathon they were organizing and asked me if I wanted to be part of this. Uhhhh.... YES! I really didn't have to think twice to come up with an answer to that question.

Six bloggers (including me) will receive the biker408 jacket and the Death by Zero tanktop and are then asked to do a little of mixing and matching with those two pieces of clothing and pieces of your own. I love the rocker look of this jacket combined with the fact that the fit of the jacket is super feminine! The tanktop itself is simple, but the print adds some character to it which I really like as well. In the end you will (hopefully) see that all of us used the biker jacket and the tanktop in a different way and that it's possible to create entirely different outfits with the same items by just adding a little bit of yourself. The judges will be Goosecraft's designer Marieke Berg and Leroy Aznam (amongst other things blogowner of Commedesleroi). I can't wait to hear what they think about the way I styled this outfit. Of course I would love to hear your opinions as well, so be firm but fair: what do you think of this combo? Pass or fail? Note: Is this outfit a little too dressed up for you? Change the heels for some cute converse sneakers for instance, et voila!

The winner of the Female-Blogathon will be announced on the 1st of August, so hang in there with me!

With Love,

XOXO

Lovely London, how much I miss you

Ph | Lisette and me

Good morning, good morning, good morning!

How have you lovelies been? Almost done with school and ready to become a full time relaxation expert? I am proud to announce that I passed my second university year as well. Two down, one to go, YES! Now I only have to receive my Vogue Academy certificates (for the classes I took this year). It feels more than great to be able to sleep in a bit and accompany my friends to parties, festivals and other fun places. I have again discovered that human beings are not made for house arrest and literature overdoses. They need to be let out, run around, scream, laugh hysterically, dance, have one or two too many drinks, sleep until 1 p.m., watch television series that are dumber than dumb, take half an hour showers, and all these other things that can only be done when you just have too much time on your hands.

These pictures were taken in London, a few weeks ago. My good friend Lisette and I flew out there and had a great great weekend. For both of us it was a way of escaping from our (school)work. In the midst of very stressful time we felt as free as two birds and enjoyed the busy London city life, including lots of shopping, strolling around, taking pictures, drinking cocktails, eating sushi and way too many other goodies, and having the chance to really catch up, something we hadn't been able to do for way too long!

I can really recommend anyone doing something like this when you feel like you're stressed out. I can actually recommend this to anyone, anytime. Stressed out or not! And as for now, I can't wait to enjoy my spare time in Amsterdam!

XOXO

OUTFIT | LONGING FOR THOSE SUNNY DAYS

 Photography by Cindy Voest

You are probably wondering where I took these pictures, sunny and wearing not more than a skirt and a sleeveless top. Well, unfortunately I'm nowhere sunny. These are some pictures I took a few weeks ago (when the weather was still in our favor), but because of being busy I didn't have the time to upload them yet.   Better late than never, right? I will tell you just a little somethin' somethin' about this outfit. I pulled this look together in a split second. Just a skirt and a top, no statement jewelry or sky high heels. And still, I think it doesn't look dull. This is a great example of what I love so much about different prints and their color schemes. Wearing print on print can make an outfit look daring without having to add much to it. Of course you could always accessorize it up a bit to turn this outfit from a simple daily outfit into a going out outfit!

Are you also up for a little mix and match action, or do you like to keep it simple and clean?

With Love

Sunday Inspiration

Ph | www.refinery29.com, Pinterest, www.someawesomeradness.blogspot.nl, Stylesaint

Well hello there stranger!

How have you been? I know that the blogger pinky promise you make yourself when starting out a blog is to at least upload a blogpost once a week (preferably more often of course). Unfortunately sometimes you have to set priorities and face the fact that some things come first (a.k.a. school). Luckily, I have finished most of my finals. Five down, two to go! The 20th of June is when I will celebrate my start of the summer and I CAN'T WAIT!

P.S. In the meanwhile I have been to London to de-stress a little.
I will upload a London photo diary ASAP!
